Shock absorber lanyard are personal protective equipment. A lanyard connects a body harness to an anchor or to a horizontal or vertical lifeline in a personal fall arrest system (PFAS). Lanyards are usually made of synthetic webbing or rope, or wire rope, with attached connectors such as snaphooks, carabiners, or other devices. A safety lanyard is used when working at heights to connect a harness to a secure anchor point, preventing the wearer from falling. With a safety harness and a shock-absorbing lanyard, you can regulate deceleration, which prevents a serious injury when you reach the end of the rope.
